Rikki Rockett, longtime drummer for the American rock band Poison, has confirmed a new endorsement deal with Rogers Drums. The announcement comes two years after Rockett ended his partnership with Drum Workshop and one year after his brief tenure with Yamaha.
Rockett made the announcement in a video released on his official channels, where he explained his decision and outlined his history with the brand. He stated that Rogers was the manufacturer of his first snare drum when he was 12 years old. That drum, a Rogers Dynasonic, was eventually stolen, but Rockett referred to it as a key part of his early playing years.
Throughout his career, Rikki Rockett has worked with several drum manufacturers. He started with Pearl Drums, later moving to Drum Workshop (DW), where he remained for nearly 20 years. After a period spent working on custom kits of his own design, he joined Yamaha in 2023. His switch to Rogers reflects a new direction focused on equipment that aligns more closely with his current preferences.

Rogers Drums, originally founded in the 1840s, has been gradually reintroducing its brand to the modern drum market. In recent years, the company has focused on limited production models and updated versions of legacy products. The brand has emphasized manufacturing quality and heritage over mass marketing.
In his announcement, Rockett said he was drawn to the company’s current approach and production values. He noted that he is now selecting gear based on what interests him musically, rather than for promotional or touring purposes. His decision was not timed with any specific release or performance schedule.
Rockett’s endorsement is expected to support Rogers Drums as the company seeks to expand its presence in the professional market. The company’s most recognizable products include the Dynasonic snare drum and Fullerton-era kits that were popular in the 1960s and 1970s.
As part of the new endorsement, Rockett will play Rogers gear at future events, though no formal touring plans have been announced. He did not specify which drum kit configurations he would be using but referenced his ongoing interest in classic drum construction and tone.
Poison, formed in the early 1980s, has sold over 50 million records worldwide. Rockett has remained the band’s drummer since its founding. The new endorsement marks another chapter in his multi-decade career in the music industry.
Rogers has not issued a separate press release, but the company is expected to feature Rockett in its future artist-related materials.
