The organisers of The UK Drum Show, On Another Level Media, are incredibly thrilled to announce that the legendary Eloy Casagrande of Slipknot fame is set to headline the Main Stage on Sunday 19th October 2025, 17.15 at ACC Liverpool!
Eloy Casagrande began playing drums when he was just 7 years old, and at 20, he became the drummer for the legendary band Sepultura. After a decade on the road with the group, he is still torn between performing live and producing content for his almost 300,000 followers on different social media channels.
At 13 years old, Eloy Casagrande won the “Batuka International Drum Fest”, the most popular drum festival in Brazil, which served as a catalyst for his career. In 2005, at the age of 14, he won the prestigious international contest “Modern Drummer’s Undiscovered Drummer Contest”, held by Modern Drummer magazine. This recognition opened doors for him to establish himself as a young professional drummer.
While he’s become an experienced clinician and session drummer since that time, Eloy is known largely in the heavy music community as the drummer of the legendary Brazilian metal band Sepultura, which he joined in 2011. Casagrande officially hopped into the band in November 2011, replacing Jean Dolabella.
Casagrande’s contributions to Sepultura have helped cement the band’s legacy as one of the most influential bands in heavy metal history.
Though he was voted “Metal Drummer Of The Year” at the 2022 Drumeo Awards and “Best Metal Drummer” in the 2021 Modern Drummer Readers Poll, Eloy is a gifted all-around player who has also been touring and releasing music with his progressive instrumental duo, Casagrande & Hanysz (featuring guitarist João Hanysz).
The Eloy Casagrande band is titled Casagrande & Hanysz, and he performs alongside guitarist Joao Hanysz. They have released one album, titled LIMINAL.
In May 2024, Eloy Casagrande was announced as the new drummer of the American band Slipknot. This exciting phase in his career represents the recognition of a South American on a global scale, placing him among the great names of the drums on the world stage. He is currently on a world tour with Slipknot, celebrating the band’s 25th Anniversary.
The UK Drum Show is a two-day event, dedicated completely to the art of drumming and percussion at the truly stunning ACC Liverpool.
