Vimic, the metal band formed by late Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison, has announced a special reunion show scheduled for October 3, 2025, at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles. The event will serve as both a live tribute to Jordison and a release concert for Vimic’s long-awaited debut album, Open Your Omen. Brazilian drummer Luana Dametto has been confirmed as the guest drummer for the event. Dametto is currently the drummer for Crypta, a prominent death metal band, and is recognized for her technical precision and aggressive style.

Her role in the show will mark the first time she has performed with Vimic. Luana Dametto has openly acknowledged the impact Jordison had on her career. In previous interviews, she referred to him as her “first drum idol,” citing his fast-paced, creative, and dynamic playing as a major influence on her development as a drummer. She began playing the drums at the age of 12 and has since built a reputation in extreme metal circles for her power and precision.

The October 3 concert will also mark the official release of Open Your Omen, an album that was in progress before Jordison died in 2021. The project had been delayed for several years but was revived through a Kickstarter campaign. Funds raised through the campaign will support the album’s release, the creation of merchandise Jordison contributed to designing, and donations to the Joey Jordison Charitable Fund. The charity provides musical instruments and resources to underprivileged young musicians.

Vimic’s members have stated that this will be a one-time event. Vocalist Kalen Chase described the performance as “catharsis and bittersweet,” emphasizing that the group has no plans for an extended reunion or tour. According to Chase, the focus is strictly on honoring Jordison’s legacy and delivering the album that he helped create.

Dametto’s involvement in the event has been welcomed by the band and fans alike. Both Vimic and Dametto have released statements highlighting the alignment in musical approach, particularly regarding the emotional drive behind their drumming styles. Dametto has said her goal is not to imitate Jordison but to preserve the intensity and feeling he brought to his performances.

Tickets for the October 3 show at the Teragram Ballroom are currently on sale.
