Best underated double kick pedal (not Pearl/DW/IC, etc.)

The OP mentioned there is not much action on the used market. I take this to mean not much where he lives but if he is willing to drive an hr or two to get the item then he will find much more available.
I had to drive one and a half hrs one way to get my Gibraltar rack, which new would have been closed to $1500 and I only paid $250. Also check your local music stores for open box deals when available.
My Roland TD27 was on sale for $1500 at the local GC because it was the display kit (which lucky for me it was barely touched and came with all 3 digital pads so technically that should have gone for about twice that much. The 7 piece kit in my picture was posted in FB for $350, came with all drums, a snare bag, a Yamaha direct drive single pedal, a Tama hi hat stand, 2 crash stands, all new heads, all still in good condition old heads. I felt bad and offered the guy more $$ but he told me that he had posted that price so that was how much he was going to take. so yes patience will pay big time.

That's surprising. Where are you located? I ask because around here (Quebec, Canada), there are multiple deals to be made.

I am far from being a Pro, but I found out years ago that you need to invest in a good pedal and a good throne, if you have the budget of course. If you do not have the budget, the aftermarket is the key.

Pedals and throne affect your body way way more than any other parts of your drumkit.

You may have have a low end kit, but even with a cheap one, you still have the ability to arrange the stuff to play comfortably.

With bad pedals and bad thrones, you are stuck with their limits.
Sweetwater just started (maybe they have been doing this for a while but I found out recently) a part of their website called "Gear Exchange"
The cool part about is that of course you can get gear from the entire US, but if you post your own gear (and they sell it there) meaning they have say the Yamaha FP9 double pedal and you are selling your used one, the page automatically auto fills with a description and all proper specifications. All you have left to do is post pics.
Oh I forgot, you get to choose from a drop down the condition of your gear and the site also automatically suggests what price you should charge for it. Great for those who have little idea how much gear should be priced (like wives and such).
