Storage Boxes for Sticks and more...

I have been on the search for economical storage boxes for sticks that live beside my practice pad and my drumset. Today I finally found an acceptable solution, which I can also use to store my growing collection of snare wires. So I bought three of them.

This is what I found at Harbor Freight for $6.99 each. The yellow dividers just slide out. Measures 18.5"L x 6.75"W x 3.5" H :

I like it. May have to rethink the “stick storage” under my sofa table. I’m sure my wife would be pleased.

I use stick bags for my sticks but like the idea for snare wires! For drum keys, felts, tension rods, snare weights, snare cord/straps, kick pads, clutches etc I use similar storage containers where you can take out the inserts to fit stuff in!
Me too! I was not satisfied to store my snare wires in my "tech tool box" and the 42 strands didn't fit anyway. I can still use 2 of the yellow dividers at the end of the box, so that provides a cubby for snare cords, etc.

I’ve got the large version of this to keep all my little parts in. It’s almost perfect. Only problem is the yellow dividers come out too easily. I guess I could glue them in.

My larger version is by Stanley, but it has the same "look" of the Harbor Freight box. And it's pretty cool with various drum shop stickers/logos slathered all over it, lol.

I keep a practice pad set up on a stand beside my desk. The sticks that I use on the practice pad, live adjacent to the practice pad. Now I can keep the sticks contained in a storage box rather than allowing them to roll around on the desk. Hope that clarifies. ;)
No it does! I was just joking because I hardly ever get to practice!

This is an awesome idea. I certainly use a stick bag for giving and practices. But I like to keep a supply of extra sticks on hand that I’m not carrying around and presently they are just lying on the floor. This is perfect. I may buy two as I am in the process of trying different stick models to find the perfect one for me. This way I can keep the different models separate. Thanks for the suggestion!!!

P.S. I just went to the Harbor Freight website and they have this container on sale for $3.99 until Dec 5 for members. Membership is $29.99.

Yea, I'm loving mine. I cannot stand sticks and drum bits laying on the floor beside my drums either! And you've got a real deal as a member. Don't broadcast that too loudly around here...everyone will want you to gift them for Christmas prezzies!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
