    Which Interface for Home Use?

IMO, if your computer and your interface is still working really well, I'd research the heck out of outboard preamps. I know a lot can be done within a program, but I swear there's something about nice outboard pre's that make a really nice difference in recording. I don't know a lot about...

What can I do with this tarnished aluminium shell?

If it were me, I'd just take a green scotch brite pad and knock all the high points and flakes off, soak the hardware in evaporust overnight, clean it all up and get new heads and leave it as-is.

Snare wire should lay flat correct?

Go to your local pawn shop and find the cheapest, off-brand snare wires you can find. Those always sound the best to my ears.

    Identify this Ludwig drum set?

Beat me to it. I bet with new heads they would sound really good!

Changing volume from one gig to another.

I've gotten many more gigs by being able to quietly than I ever did playing loudly, with tons of chops, etc.

How to explain where “1” is?

Find what specific songs he wants to learn for church, and then use those songs to explain what you need to.

    Any Tips?

I can't really hear the playback, but that's the only critique I have for you. I LOVE how your drums sound so freakin' bombastic! They are a lot of fun to listen to, and you are a great player, so keep it up. I also like how you are playing heavier music and yet you're staying in control and...

    Opinions on Gretsch snare

Your comment reminded that while I'm sticking to the "I've never really bonded with a Gretsch snare" sentiment, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't kick that Gretsch Renown Limited Mahogany out of the bed for eating crackers. Heck, I'd love to try out one of those kits for a few months. I love Renowns.

Changing volume from one gig to another.

For big stages, I use IEMs. For small gigs, I use no IEMs, and a lot of the times, I don't even have a wedge. I also use my Vic Firth AJ5 sticks. Here's a clip of a small gig I played last weekend. I will have to state that smaller drums and cymbals don't necessarily mean a quieter kit. My...

    Opinions on Gretsch snare

I've never bonded with any Gretsch snare I've played. So many better choices out there to my ears.

    Tuning ??

I tune my reso higher than the batter. I also use clear, single-ply heads on the reso and single-ply coated or double-ply coated or clears on the batters.

Played my radio kings last night

This group doesn’t gig a whole lot, and when we do, it’s pretty local and laid back. I really enjoy it. Thanks for the kind words!

Played my radio kings last night

Only when I don’t think about it. 🤣 I need to get in the habit of it.

Played my radio kings last night

Sort of a long video, but there’s some pretty good pickin’ about halfway through. Thanks for letting me share my videos!

Can I send a click signal from this board?

Thanks for everyone’s suggestions. I may be being overly-cautious, but I just don’t trust behringer over the long term. In addition, Mackie just isn’t what it used to be IMO, so I may just go with the Yamaha and a splitter when the time comes. Thanks!

Can I send a click signal from this board?

This is what I though. If I go with this, I may just use a 1/4" splitter - run one to my board and then the other to the main mixer. I hate using jacks/splitters because it seems they aren't as roadworthy.

Can I send a click signal from this board?

Take a look at this board (sorry/not sorry for the big pic). Channel 1: Monitor line from the main mixer Channel 2: Metronome Ok, I want to run a my metronome back out to the soundboard from here. Is there a way to do this with this board WITHOUT sending my own personal monitor mix back to...
