What can I do with this tarnished aluminium shell?

Please Trade that Thing in . I heard there's a Drum Shop in Austrailia.

🍬 Get a Paper route and buy a chrome over Brass Ludwig 400 like everyone else does kidding only on the last part; it has happened but not that often

my first snare drum came with the rest of the '62 set

Nice Ludwig snare! Models still in good condition can fetch up to $1k in the resale marketplace.

As far as the Sensitone drum you could check vintage auto or motorcycle restoration techniques on YouTube for aluminum.

I have a Supra already.

I just have this shell and I’m compelled to turn it into a working drum, whether that’s to keep for myself or sell on, I like being able to make drum gear useful again where others have abandoned it, even if that involves spending a little $$$

They have paint for car wheels that looks like anodized aluminum. Comes in several colors, available in spray cans. You would definitely want to sand it smooth and give it a coat of "etching" primer first though.

If it were me, I'd just take a green scotch brite pad and knock all the high points and flakes off, soak the hardware in evaporust overnight, clean it all up and get new heads and leave it as-is.
