Hi everyone,
My name is Stephen Head, and I’m the founder and craftsman behind Kopf Percussion, where I’ve been building handcrafted cajóns and percussion instruments since 2008. I’m based in Georgia, but my instruments have found homes in the hands of musicians all over the world, including some right here in this community!
I started Kopf Percussion because I wanted to create instruments that resonate with the same level of craftsmanship and authenticity that musicians pour into their art. Each cajón I build is made from carefully selected tonewoods, using traditional woodworking techniques to ensure that every piece delivers a rich, resonant sound.
