Kmicic Cymbals? Anybody have any experience with these?

I had never heard of them until five minutes ago, and now I think I want one of these:

Ok, so I'm having a go at these. I've been stuck in a mild psychosis the last couple of days since I found out they existed, been spending waay too much time listening to sound clips. Ordered the one from the video above, plus a 20" crash ride. Hopefully I love them, or at least don't hate them.

I think they all sound quite dry and articulate, kind of understated in a way but simultaneously clear and defined. I'm hoping the difference between sound clips and reality isn't too crazy.

Lots of hoping going on here.

Since I live nearby, I ordered a set when there was a promo that included the 30” cymbal. Let me just say: it’s immediately obvious that this is handmade work! the Vein and Gold cymbals look absolutely stunning. The gold chrome logo on the Dry cymbal? 🤯
Hand-engraved signature, year of production, and model. Incredible!!
I was worried they wouldn’t blend well with my bronze cymbals, but I was so wrong — they mix beautifully!
As for the 30” cymbal, I don’t think I’ll ever take it off the stand. Highly recommended more cymbals from Kmicic are already on the way!!

I sent mine back, waiting for the return to be handled. There was a certain shimmer about them that my ears didn't agree with, which I couldn't hear on the sound clips I listened to.

So I quickly decided it wasn't the sound for me. That's how it is with cymbals I guess; if you can't try before you buy, it's a gamble.

Weights, if anyone are curious:

23" Gold bell titanium ride: 2060g
20" Classic crash/ride: 1525g

Well, unfortunately that’s how it is – over the past 20 years I’ve returned many cymbals 🤣 but this time I got lucky. I wanted something different, and I wasn’t disappointed. Next month I’ll drop by Kmicic, since I’ve got a concert nearby. From what I’ve heard, he has quite a few cymbals in stock. I’ll try to add a follow-up here after my visit.

Greetings to everyone!
