Buying a good first set for Rock?

I'm playing an electronic kit and am looking for an acoustic. I'll be playing with a Rock band that plays a lot of lows (Drop C) and their previous drummer had a Pearl Export with a Pearl Joey Jordison Snare. I'm reading mixed reviews about Exports (every set really) but would like to stay under $1000 with hardware (but not including cymbals/pedal/throne which I have). Any opinions are appreciated as I'm lost!

Where are you located?? That will help determine good deals...

Get the average 12.13.16.22 kit . I person sly don't use the 13 but kits are much easier to find that way. Double coated head on the toms and aquarian sk2 with regulator on the front and you should be good to go.
Remember that the more toms you have , the more stuff you have to move.
