Code issue on Forums?

I started having these problems shortly after I started getting ads at the bottom. I can close them but every time I go to a new page a new ad pops up. The ads don't make any sense and aren't always appropriate, one ad I get is for ebay listings for photo prints of scantily clad women. I'm no prude and the first time it made me chuckle but I could see some people being offended by that. I get ads for dog food, my dog passed away a year ago. They definitely aren't targeted ads, they are random.

My ad blocker works effectively 100% of the time so far, thankfully.

So does this mean the server is allowing ads now whereas it didn't allow them in the past? One issue with inappropriate ads is underage kids that visit this site.

Maybe the ads are spyware or a virus of some sort?

I just took some screenshots while I was reading your post, you can see the ads at the bottom. I haven't gotten the eBay one I mentioned in the last few hours. The ads are at the bottom of the viewing area, not the bottom of the thread. So if I am centered on a longer response a portion of the text will be covered by the ads.

This is more than just some random glitch a few members are experiencing. At this point, some sort of public acknowledgement of what is happening is warranted by those who are in charge.

Had the same oops message all day today until just now. Last checked an hour ago .
Using iPhone 13 like I always do .

Same here, except I'm on android. Encountered the oops message multiple times over the past week or so.
 
As I mentioned, I've been experiencing the oops message periodically, like a lot of you. And then I just experienced something new - trying to navigate the de page kept causing a pop-up, trying to get me to update my permissions. I kept trying to just close it out, but that wasn't working. Finally I selected 'don't sell my personal information'l.' It still kept popping up, so I had to ultimately choose "OK," hopefully just confirming my choice.

It made me very uncomfortable. I don't like pop-ups.
