What are you listening to right now?

the whole Black Sabbath catalog, and then on to Ozzy solo stuff...in memory!

Woke up this morning to brain radio playing the title track of Jennifer Warnes' album Shot Through the Heart. Very nice!

Not sure why brain radio would dig that up today, but that album was a staple on the turntable in 1979 and 1980 when I was dating and first married to Mrs Smoke. And while it didn't quite mix with Uriah Heep, Grand Funk and Lynyrd Skynyrd, I enjoyed it too. And now, looking at the album credits, I understand why.

Do you mean in the video? If so, I see/hear hats, bass drum, crash/ride and tom fills.

I did not say that he plays the entire piece on the snare drum. He does play part of that groove with the left and the right hand on snare drum only. This is something that I have not seen often.

Never was much of a Beatles fan/collector - no offense meant - I could hear them any time I wanted, just flick on the radio!

But, today, brain radio is playing In My Life. Don't know why. But it makes me happy in a reflective sort of way.

Sirius/XM needs a smoke's-brain-radio channel. Seriously!

I am honored, @JoeVermont - though not deserving. I'm just one guy with a jukebox in his head that's triggered by things I see, hear or do. (except for the brain-radio-upon-waking-up part. that still makes me wonder) On the flip side, the channel listeners would have to suffer with all the other baggage that ricochets around in my head. Now that would be scary. ;)

My guess is that we're on the same wavelength or maybe we're the same vintage and brain radio is playing the soundtrack of our youth. (I'm 66 and retired)

I'm trying to force brain radio to play Jackson Browne's Running on Empty album in its entirety, but it's not working. (it would dovetail perfectly with my mood today) So, I'll listen to In My Life on repeat until somebody else puts a quarter in the jukebox.

We are the *same* age so ~ ~ same wavelength. Retirement is at the end of next year.
I am one of those people who has music constantly rattling around in the brain.... and often whistle the tune - my co-workers tolerate it.

I used to whistle. Now that I'm old, retired and feeble, I hum and sing out loud. I can actually carry a tune - no bucket needed. ;)

You'll enjoy retirement. I was sort of *confused* for the first 12-18 months - all revved up and no place to go! But once Mrs Smoke and I fell into a routine, I've found it's the best life ever. I can do what I want, when I want and how I wan... uhhh... Whatever, whenever and however Mrs Smoke wants it done! But it's gonna get done at my own pace. ;) (looks over shoulder to see if Mrs Smoke is reading as I type...)

Oh yeah, Jackson Browne is asking "Oh Won't You Stayyyyyy..." It worked!

still on my "Ozzy" playlist...played drums with Blizzard, Diary and Bark At the Moon today...so many great memories of my tween and teenage life attached to those...
