DIXON Precision Coil Pedals

Just got mine today and love it. It looks a bit bulky, but it plays well for me. I would recommend to give it a shot. Dixon is not what it was 10 or even 5 years ago.

If the feel of these is good, I say play them until they fall apart! I still have my hydraulic Tama King Beat pedal from the 80's. Used to have 2 until one started to leak & I couldn't find new seals. The other has held up great.

"Other than extension spring" pedals have come & gone over the years & this is no different. The price of it will turn off many though.

Resurrecting an 8 year old thread. I have a first gen Precision coil pedal. I loved it til the spring broke. It's a torsion spring. I'm having a hard time getting a replacement. It could be the tariff situation. It is a very smooth and quick pedal. I'd take it over any of my previous pedals including Axxis, IC, and Demon Drive. It would be a close call between the Dixon and the Taye XP-1 I owned.

youre not alone with spare parts for dixon, they dont make them very much for pedals. and the 1st gen precison coils were known to have a spring problem, they pulled them off the makret for a while then re-released them when they sorted it.

have you tried getting in touch with dixon directly about it?

I have emailed Dixon but got no response. I called their US distributor and they are going to see what they can do. I have a good (modified) second pedal but the Dixon is great and I miss it.
