Code issue on Forums?

Recurrent issue I'm having last several weeks and it's getting worse. Create new thread. Go back and edit. Save doesn't work. It's inconsistent. Was there a release of new code or version? Seems when goto Edit it is sometimes invoking a set of code that lacks the ability to save. May be a versioning issue and code where when = edit the save button is there but function not there. Getting more and more frustrating. Happens on all my browsers. Help!!!

I have tried that and other things. Even rebooted laptop. Went back fresh. I retired from IT, and I'm here whiteboarding possible root causes - if the developers would look at code presented when = Edit they should be able to see some lines/ lines of code such that the Save button is displayed button active in all cases. Since Ironjim also runs across it, it is indeed real. I never had issue before, seems started happening in last month or so maybe longer?
 
you have to scroll to activate things these days- almost across the internet- every where- I thought it was my archaic OS;
If one scrolls over say the 'post Reply" button have to make sure it's highlighted;

It's like a Pixel thing..
hot / and sometimes they're cold..unless moved (how poetic!

I sent a note to Tech/Mods.... hopefully a response will be forthcoming. (y)
 
I edited a post yesterday and it saved correctly.

There are two issues that myself and other forum members have seen. We reported and discussed it in the past, but no resolutions so far.
1) The icon for the Drummer World forum has disappeared. This is just a nuisance.

2) This is possibly the problem that you have seen.

If you edit an existing post AND the "Save" and "Cancel" buttons are at the very end of the displayed page
then
Those two buttons are not clickable

So, on my Windows 10 laptop, if you hover the mouse pointer over the "Save" or the "Cancel" buttons, the mouse pointer shape does not
change to indicate that these buttons can be clicked. The only workaround on Windows that has been mentions is to scroll the page up, so
that the "Save" and the "Cancel" buttons ARE NOT positioned at the bottom of the displayed page. Once that is done, those two buttons
become clickable again. I have no idea if this issue happens on the Android or Iphones.
 
On Windows 7 laptop issue is the same.

I find that not just on setting a new thread but on replying to an existing one, the post reply button doesn't work, I have to click on the side bar and move the page all the way to the bottom and the button regains functionality. Annoying but it works as a workaround.
This has been happening for the last couple of months on all browsers.

I'm Apple 100%. Tried multiple browsers. All fail.

I've got Windows 11 on a PC. The only browser I've found that still works properly on this forum is Brave Browser. Mods no longer have access to IT, so it's all fun and games until that changes or this whole rig drives off a cliff à la Thelma and Louise. Enjoy it while you can.

Translating that... does it mean that it's getting so messed up it's going to essentially self-destruct?

I use Linux/Ubuntu and don't experience what has been described in the aforementioned posts.

Lol, sorry, no. I just mean that I often find myself as confused as anyone else and often have to find work-arounds to do my job here. Since none of us really know the long-term plans of the current owners, I try to remain Zen about the whole thing. Enjoy the moment. Hakuna matata.
