Finally, the Neurolapse home demo's are released! They are a bit rough, but me and the keyboardist are incredibly happy to release these to the public, since we've been making music for 7 years and haven't released something until now. Hope you enjoy!

So sorry Thaardy my man :( I've been ultra busy & missed your thread.

You say you've been playing together for 7 years - it shows, big time! Tighter than a duck's arse, & considering the somewhat clinical nature of the genre (does it have a genre, I'm not sure?), a ton of feel. Really great to hear all the Thaardy tool box coming out again too :) This time round though, punctuated by really solid grooves laid down with aplomb. Ending's insane!

Just missing a really good drum sound production.

I just listened to a few seconds of each tune on Youtube, and liked them enough to thank you for putting them out there. :-D

They're solidly-constructed tunes and your playing is very controlled. When I saw "prog," I avoided clicking the links, because I expected "wall of notes" flailing. But you don't do that.

And I like it. Well done!

Thanks mr. A. We're planning on releasing a full album with better sound later, when we have enough material.

Great stuff, Thaard. Always enjoy your playing. I really like the music. The section that's in 7 flows really well and the whole piece grooves. Definitely not just some math rock exercise, it really feels good. Is that a Fender Rhodes? It sounds so good.

Nice work!

Thanks. I've been working on making things flow, so there's minimal "wank" and more music. We're probably gonna re-write some stuff to make it flow better in the future(ex those 16th's in General Cortex).
Good ear:

Sloppy performance as always Thaard :)
Yes I know..

thanks for the comments guys. Trying to get the tunes out to the public so we maybe can get some sponsorships and stuff.

Fine playing as always, Thaard. General Motors really started happening for me from the refrain onwards. Couldn't get Hippo Campus to play, tho. Tried both Waterfox and Chrome.

Wonderful Thaard, I really liked both tracks.

I agree with Larry, very groovy indeed, it's so easy to go "over the top" in this type of music, but you've nailed it beautifully, in contrast I loved the drummy outro of General Motors Cortex though :)

Well played Sir... and getting into Simon Phillips works will only help/reinforce your already impressive drumming skill :)

I almost never like what most folks call "prog rock"... Too much wankery or thought involved in "deciphering" what's going on. I had no trouble grooving with this stuff. Almost like a harder version of jazz fusion or something.

Thanks mate. I've actually learned a lot about grooving in odd-times by watching both Simon Philips and Gavin Harrison. Definitely guys to check out if a drummer wants to groovify their difficult tunes

I don't know what to clasify this music as, but I feel prog is the closest.

Very cool Thaard. I dug both tunes. Curious, are these studio or home recorded? You stated that they're demo's but the quality is outstanding. Good job either way man.
Everything is home recorded!
