Please check out my drum cover. Unfortunately, the audio isn't mixed, but it's still listenable. And please give me some advice, it would be really helpful!
Recently, we decided to try something a little different and wanted to focus on celebrating certain iconic drum sounds. This is not a scientific one to one recreation type video rather celebrating what makes them so iconic. If you haven’t watched it yet check it out!
There’s also a deep dive...
How many of you invest in cases? What cases do you use and why? For me I have several kits and several cases and it varies depending on kit and show. . . Here's a small comparison video I did but honestly if you don't protect your investments why not?!?
This is a video from an old practice session I had.
Apart from enjoying this awesome tune, the stuff I try to practice -simultaneously- here are the following:
- playing quarter notes with my left hand on a cowbell, while my right hand is moving from hi-hat to snare
- traditional grip
- sight...
So I knew I needed to change out my sleeves but didn't realize how bad it was!
With the price of cymbals, don't let a $6 pack of sleeves cost you $600 or more!!
Check it out! Made some changes to the drum room... I'm trying to sell my giant speaker setup and so I took that out of the room along with my old display and put up this other one I had that I hadn't brought home yet! Room is looking good!! Now to figure out how to clean up my tool/spare drum...
Can anyone tell me where the inverse polarity switch/knob/button is located on the Mackie Onyx 16? I see it nowhere and I’ve read the manual, which was no help.
I need to reverse phase with snare top and bottom mics.
Thanks.
Someone asked me if I could do a quick walk through my current drum room setup. It's always changing and with the addition of my new DW kit I figured why not just do a quick walk through.
Any questions on any of my gear just let me know!
And crazy enough, there are 5 other kits not shown in this...

If you have a kit with Wood Hoops like I do... this video is ESPECIALLY for you! but even if you have standard hoops, you should look into these!
This is the PDP Concept Series Quick Grip floor tom mic holders. They are super slick and are the saving grace to wood hoops! I typically use...
Hope this is ok to post. Bee trying for years to find a legit signed something by Sandy. She was an inspiration to me. I’d love to put in my music room. Prefer drumsticks, but at this point, I’d consider almost anything. She is so underrated and I hate it. But real drummers know. I don’t get a...
So I have several students learning or have learned this song with me. So I thought it would be fun to post this video of me playing it live with a band I filled in for this weekend. It was a 90s cover band and I had a blast playing with them so hopefully they give me first call if they ever...
Hi y’all.
I’ve been playing the drums for a few years on an e-kit with some iron cobra pedals, and for awhile i thought i was making steady progress on the drums, with some days being able to hit 150-160bpm for decent amounts of time. After I took a little over a week long break from the drums...
well after 9 months of not wanting to do anymore videos my daughter said she wanted to do a new video! So who am I to say no to that! So yesterday we shot our 5th Episode of The Sounds of Snares! For this she picked my Ddum Dios snare drum. It's a 13x6.5 snare in Maple. It's a wonderful snare...
