Was this kit made by Andy? Any additional info about them? Looking into buying it. Appreciate any info from anyone here, especially Andy.

Hopefully @Andy will chime in himself, but I'm sure he built them. He and Dean were it, for Guru.

Snag them if you can!

These are for sale here in the US.

I too think these were from the Andy era what with the pointy lugs. I'm trying to get info on Padauk with regard to what it compares to as a tone wood. Not much out there.

Search on the keyword Padauk on here and you will get several threads discussing or mentioning this tone wood, some from Andy himself.

This forum was the guru hq for a time, endless content about the drums was posted until some guy Shemp complained and there was an uproar, but I think more people found Shemp annoying than Andy’s threads 🤣

Just search

The Guru padauk kit is amazing. Coincidentally, I’m selling the exact same kit, minus the Guru inscription on the hoop. I’m in the States and mine is much less expensive, and it comes with a full set of Protection Racket AAA cases. I just retired and need to thin the herd before I move south. Message me for details.

I told you already, if I had the money I would snag them!!!!

So sorry I’m late to the party. I visit here infrequently these days, & my life is full of priorities at a time when I’m meant to be taking it easy. My health isn’t that great, but I can’t help throwing myself into stuff 110% - it’s just how I’m programmed,

Ok, both of the kits in discussion are genuine Tour series padauk kits. I know the first owner of the uk Graham Russell kit. He only sold because add on drums are no longer available, & his gig requirements changed. That kit has done a lot of work, but well cared for.

As for Steadypocket’s kit, I’m sure it’s immaculate, & compared to values elsewhere in the world, a super bargain. Most Guru stuff these days sells for either original new sales price or above. Only Origin series drums or InTense series snares exceed these values, but are almost never available.

On the padauk Tour series specifically, let’s put it this way. When I was forced to wind everything up, I selected a Tour series padauk kit as the legacy build for my son.

My best to all, Andy.
