This is a first

"Is that Steve Miller in your pocket or do you just smell funny? " said one wank..

alternate:
"Gimme a Cheeseburger"
- Steve Miller around 1967
I loved that album Living In The USA- then

Imagine being Steve's age and performing on a outdoor stage in 105F+ Temp!

Easy way to die.

better optics to say its the weather than to say 'I'm too old to deal with high temps safely'.

Here's the statement in full:
Dear Steve Miller Band fans,
You make music with your instincts
You live life by your instincts
Always trust your instincts…
The Steve Miller Band has cancelled all of our upcoming tour dates.
The combination of extreme heat, unpredictable flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and massive forest fires make these risks for you our audience, the band and the crew unacceptable. So …
You can blame it on the weather… The tour is cancelled.
Don’t know where, don’t know when… We hope to see you all again.
Wishing you all peace, love and happiness.
Please take care of each other.
Steve, The Band and the Crew

Ticketmaster maps of seating show most or all venues had less than 20% sold. This decision not weather related. Artists should just come clean for reasons of cancellation.
BTW I like Steve Miller but this reason is BS.

News: His song is Used in the new Kia Commercial.

2026 Kia Sportage Go!

Maybe he should use smaller venues. I saw Don Felder last year in a place that was about 1500 people and it was great. Not saying Felder by himself is on par with Miller but Steve's about 80 and isn't going to fill up bigger venues.

Graham Nash yea that Graham Nash is coming to Greensburg- up the street from me- to the Palace Theater. Like What? Is he going to read poetry or something? Any way the Palace Theater holds 1,396 people.

that was kinda shocking to me.

Graham will be joined on stage by Todd Caldwell (keyboards and vocals), Adam Minkoff (bass, drums, guitars, and vocals), and Zach Djanikian (guitars,...

"my Lady Of The Island" should be a great tale..

Smaller theaters with air conditioning or some kind of temperature control can be booked. Perhaps these oldsters should not be performing in the same settings they have done when they were 40 years younger. Only the Stones seem able to pull this off, and even that is at its limit.
Its just a setup for this kind of disappointment, and fans get annoyed as they have already planned and laid out $$ for airfare, hotels etc.

Funny thing is the older Mick gets the more he looks like Barney Fife.
