Played my radio kings last night



Sort of a long video, but there’s some pretty good pickin’ about halfway through.

I usually play my hi-hat foot on 2 & 4. For a few months now I’ve started splashing 8th notes with my foot during the chorus or guitar solo. Something to help fill out the sound. For something like the vids you shared, it might be a bit much.
 
Man I love the way a tele cuts through the mix, especially in smaller settings like this. Drums sound great and your playing is spot on, as always! Is this a new gig or were you just filling in? Seems like your regular role keeps you pretty busy.

This group doesn’t gig a whole lot, and when we do, it’s pretty local and laid back. I really enjoy it.
