Yeah, I feel ya. Nearly all of my drumming action photos have me concentrating, with expressions that range from mild disdain to constipation.

My only smiling drum pics are posed pictures.

Had a rare Saturday off from gigs and sessions so Mrs. RVC and I took a day trip to Ventura. The temperature today was high-90’s F in the California central valley where we live and high-60’s F on the coast, hence the cool weather gear.

It was a great getaway and we even got to see some top shelf live music. Didn’t get any pictures of that but it was a similar format to my duo thing. Here’s a pic from the end of the pier looking back towards town. Was a much needed break from the normal routine.
