Hitting the Hi-Hat sometimes triggers my Snare or Bass Drum

I recently bought a second hand edrum kit (Alesis DM6), which had been working fine as a beginner kit, responding as it should.
But, after a week, the high hat now starts triggering the hit for the snare and bass drum sometimes while Im playing drum beats, I'm not completely sure why this is happening as it wasn't happening before.

had this happen to me on an electric kit and there are literally just 2 solutions, 1 is to play with sensitivity options if you have the chance, the second is to play softer. Unless you try isolate the pads somehow, maybe position them further apart? not sure what else to suggest.

My drum module doesn't have sensitivity options.
Are you suggesting it's a physical issue or an electrical issue?

No the alesis dm6 doesn't have anything of the sort, but idk how it is crosstalk as my bass drum pedal and high hat or no where near one another

This link above goes to the product page for the dm6, under the downloads section you'll find the full manual and a separate doc for troubleshooting the kick drum pad. From what I can see it doesn't look like there is a cross talk adjustment on this module. I do agree that even if you had the ability to tweak cross talk settings it is unusual and highly unlikely that your hi hat pedal would trigger the snare and bass drum pads due to cross talk.

With that said: maybe check for kinks in any of the wires, make sure all wires are plugged in all the way, check the connection point for the cable snake at the module, check the pins on the cable snake... That's all I can think of off hand. Those things could all be fine but it's worth checking.
