Ludwig Atlas Pro Pedal-Discontinued?

Greetings,

I think Bermuda might be able to chime in on this. I know Ludwig has 3 lines of "pro" hardware (not incuding the stands that come with the Accent or Backbeat stuff). The Atlas Standard, The Atlas Pro and the Atlas Classic (flat base). In addition to the Speed King, I noticed that Ludwig has an Atlas Standard Pedal and a Speed Flyer Pedal, and that's it. The Atlas Pro pedals are pictured with the Atlas Pro Hardware but there is no information available on them. These were the pedals with the beater that had the red stripe going all the way around the center of the felt. Were these discontinued and replaced by the Speed Flyer? What are the differences between the Atlas Standard, Atlas Pro and Speed Flyer pedals?

Thanks for the help!

Not aware of that pedal's status, but it's a really nice pedal, and I've owned a bunch (DW, Trick, Pearl, Tama, Axis, Yamaha, Sonor, Taye, Rogers, other Ludwigs & more.) I hope it's still available!

I think I heard somewhere that the Speed Flyer is just an upgraded version of the Atlas pro. Maybe an additional bearing or something, or it could just be rebranding.

I have an Atlas Pro which I loved playing, played it for years. Then my idiot guitar player didnt know how to remove it from the bass drum, long story short, kit was at his house and to save time to a gig he was bringing it early, and snapped off one of the mounting tabs. he must have been pulling upwards very hard, anyway it will still attach to a bass drum but i lost faith in it, i dont like broken gear.
