Broken / malfunctioning triggers on TD9KX

I am playing a Roland TD9KX which is about four to five years old. A great drumset, but I am encountering some very frustrating behaviour:

• sometimes the hi-hat sound does not trigger. Especially the "top" does not trigger, the edge works most of the time.
• The bell does not seem to trigger always either
• Toms and rims works fine as well as the bass drum

Has anyone encountered such trigger problems before? It is really frustrating when trying to record stuff and a lot of cymbal notes are simply not recorded. Anything you can do about it? Tips/tricks?

It's such a shame. I really don't understand why an expensive piece of equipment like this only has one year of warranty! Where I live, two years of warranty is obligated by the law as far as I know, but still. I'd rather see 5 years of warranty, as the V-pianos seem to have.
