The right one looks to be the older one where the newer ones gove more space for strainers and bridges?
Black beauty brass or bronze? As they made/make both.
Would still love to have a hammered black beauty bronze from the 80’s.
With a twin channel on top like Alan White and his natural hammered bronze.
I never had issues with the yess mount in these 33 years.
But one thing that could help if you cross such an issue, is using either a shorter rod, using only two holes and no cymbal arm (or the double mount instead of the triple mount), or direct to shell mounting.
(these have 3mm die cast...
I always found my cast bronze cool.
But way too heavy. Give me spun bronze, or even better, alu every day of the week.
As such I passed on the hld a few times too.
