1. Vent holes incorporated in badges- how come so few do this anymore? Ludwig, and maybe the newly resurrected Slingerland (I'm too lazy to check
) do, but I don't think anyone else does. Seems it'd be easier than drilling extra holes and using more screws.
2. My recently acquired Pearl World Series floor tom badge is a little crooked. I suppose it got hot somewhere and slipped from the glue getting soft. It doesn't budge now (well, I didn't try too hard to move it, lest it pop right off), but I think I want to correct this. I've seen the dental floss method of removing glued badges, but what glue should I use to reapply? I don't want Super/Krazy Glue to eat away at the lacquer/paint underneath, but I don't think an Elmer's glue stick will be up to the task in warm temps.
