Is there a difference between the DW 3000 and DW 5000 Round Thrones?

Other than, of course, the 5000 is a spindle/corkscrew height adjustment and the 3000 is a tube with memory lock height adjustment.

Is everything else the same, the legs, the seat thickness etc? It seems to be best as I can tell. They look identical, including the seat.

Also, I have an older (probably 15 years or so) PDP 800 series throne, and it looks identical to the DW 3000 round top throne; the seat may be slightly smaller and slightly less thick on the PDP. I wonder if they use the same base sections for both and just use different rubber feet and brand stickers?

DW 3000 series throne: seat size 13" x 3", height 21" to 27", manual wingnut adjustment

DW 5000 series throne: seat size 13" x 3", height 21" to 29", spindle adjustment, oversize locking nut, sturdier feet with textured surface, (possibly thicker/sturdier tube and leg hardware but it's been a while since I looked at them side by side), with better overall but more polarized customer reviews.

My round top PDP throne is over 25 years old so I doubt if it compares directly to anything available new.
