Post your Gig Pics

I thought I detected a feminine touch, lol. ;)
Absolutely! When we got together, I handed the fashion reins over to her and my look has improved profoundly. As an example of her Jedi thrift skills, these were waiting for me at the end of the gig yesterday.

There was a Goodwill in the next shopping center over from the bar we were playing. She found these Uggs for $6.99. They fit perfectly and (after a sanitizer “spritz”) I wore them for game 2 of my doubleheader yesterday. Don’t have to tell anyone how much Uggs go for new. No way I’d ever spend that kinda money on non-drum stuff, so I’m very thankful to have Mama RVC in my life! 🙏

Wow! Those heels don't look like they've encountered any wear. 😮

Love your gloss black Frequent Flyer, @SharkSandwich! Super classy looking, but I’m admittedly biased toward black drums. :p How are you liking the FF? I recently got mine set up as my home practice rig, and I’m quite pleased with the sound. Mine’s in the satin black finish, which has its own cool factor.

My working shell bank is gloss black. I love my drums being able to fit in visually, as well as sonically, in any situation. Congrats on that kit. Looks like it’s already serving you well! 👊

Thanks for the kinds words! I'm really enjoying my FF kit. I researched a lot of compact kits before making my final decision. It's easier to transport and set up, but still packs a punch sonically. As for the finish...."How much more black could it be and the answer is none.....none more black". 😀

We were back at our usual spot last Saturday, debuting some new material. I wrote about half the setlist, tried out my new headset mic, and the crowd seemed pretty appreciative. I'll take it!

This was a lovely gig last night, playing a boat club in York, not far from what used to be the Terry’s chocolate factory (I highly recommend Terry’s chocolate oranges!) which you can see just over the trees.

It means a lot as a musician when people and the venue appreciate you - providing you with a dressing room, food, free drinks. Already looking forward to going back next year.

Two gigs this weekend

Friday night with the tribute band over at a festival about 40mins drive away.

To explain the photos, I was asked to take my daughters school class teddy bear (each child takes it in turns to have it for the weekend, to take it on adventures and take photos for the class book) so I earned some daddy points in taking it to a show.

Got some funny comments from bandmates and stagehands though as a grown man carrying around a teddy bear😂

It was blistering hot though, was downing water between songs

Last night a really nice wedding with one of the dep bands. Was a really good night and saw some fireworks between sets, courtesy of the wedding.

Another really hot day, but I had a lovely cool evening breeze on me the entire time.

Thanks to your post, just learned about Echolette amplifiers - nice looking stuff, vintage I assume?
I also spot an old Selmer.... and what's that small amp next to your kit (on your left as seated)?
Even though I am a drummer, I am also a total electronics geek :geek:
Yeah old amps are so much fun to geek out about. Echolette was a German brand wich incidently the Beatles used in their Hamburg period.

The smaller amp is a National Stage star.

This is NOT my gig. I just came back from a short trip to Carmel.
A low volume gig from a band playing at a restaurant in Carmel, California.
Canopus kit with what appears to be a DW snare. The drummer is playing with the brushes. Hope you like the pic.
