TD-12 Hi-hat issue

Hi all. Wow! I haven't been here in a while. But I've got a pressing problem that needs some pro attention.

My TD-12 hi-hat sounds like it's cross-talking with my floor tom, but it's only when opening the foot pedal. When I open the foot pedal, it makes a tom hit at each phase (so around 4 - 6 times). This obviously needs cleared up, and since I've been googling this for 3 hours, I figured I'd try here.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide!!

Is it the VH11 hihat? And not using MIDI? Have you tried any crosstalk settings? It's usually from vibrations travelling to the other pad, which is a bit strange for the hihat on a stand.

I don't believe it's the 11 or the 12. It's the hihat pedal by its itself with a cable going to the hihat (cymbal) pad. I've looked into the crosstalk section and nothing works. And yeah, hihat is on left side and floor tom is on the right. I have no idea and there's no rhym or reason for it to be doing this. I've even pulled the wire from the floor tom and the stupid hihat still makes the same irritating multiple hit floor tom sound as it's opened.

Take it off the rack to verify if it's really crosstalk, which should not happen if it's not attached.

In some modules it is possible to change the samples of the hi hats to something else, see if you might have changed the sample to something else. Go to the module's midi settings and see what note is playing, I can't remember the hi hat notes but they all should be close numbers say for example: fully open 45, closed loosely 46, closed tight 47 and so on depending on what the module supports, but if one of those is not that number but say...67 (Tom 3) then that is the problem.

I don't need or want to change the hi-hat sound. That's not the problem. The problem is that even if I have the floor tom completely disconnected, the hi-hat when opened makes 4 or 5 hits on the floor tom as the pedal is opening. It's not cross-talking. It cant be cross-talking because the floor tom isn't even hooked up. I guess this is something weird, electronically, that I'm going to have to either get used to, or work on myself. It was hard to believe when I googled this that nothing else even similar came up at all. I do appreciate everyone's help in trying to help me though.

Sorry for the late reply.. I was playing around with the module and I changed the output of the floor tom to something other pad and the extra noise in the hihat system stopped. And no, I didnt reset the module because it's got an entire set of paid midi sounds in it that sound really good. I think I have the CD key for it, but I dont want to take the chance in losing them all.
