that's a real shame about Lars, he's so bad live, the videos Metallica ufficial youtube channel puts out are fixed but live is so much worse. Best Metallica live was when Lars was replaced by other drummers.
Unfortunately in UK at the moment, while I love the jazz scene here I can't stand most things, food, people, you name it. Italian originally would love to move to NY so that I can properly say "how you dooin" but it's way too expensive there I guess.
yes this is true although was less common than today, way less common, today even when I produce something myself it's a mash of different takes all glued together while before they would punch in the odd line here and there
I know this will rub some people the wrong way, but I genuinely can't stand how over produced and aligned to the grid most music is now, I used to be into metal as a kid and now I can't stand any modern recording, it's all very digital and synthetic it just sucks the fun out of it, I've seen...
had this happen to me on an electric kit and there are literally just 2 solutions, 1 is to play with sensitivity options if you have the chance, the second is to play softer. Unless you try isolate the pads somehow, maybe position them further apart? not sure what else to suggest.
just had the chance to listen to this today at work, Johnny Griffin has been one of my favourites for some times yeah, thank you for sharing and will listen to the other video you shared shortly :)
Edit: oh didn't realise it was just the solo of the same song lol
I have stumbled across his music less than 6 months ago and been fascinated ever since, the guy is a legend! I'm still exploring his music but so far he's never let me down.
