Looking for Jim Riley

Delaware Des

Junior Member
Has anybody seens anything of Jim? I haven't been able to find any website that he is involved in any longer. He used to be everywhere.. I bought his very helpful book, "Survival Guide for the Modern Drummer" at the Delaware Drum show several years ago. It has, or had, a lot of recordings on the Alfred website to go along with the book. I'm not sure if I ever actually downloaded it, but I cannot find the recordings on my computer. I went back to Alfred's website recently, because I am at the point where I am ready for the recordings after practising from the book for a few years. Alfred has removed the recordings for the book from their website, apparently. I can't find a trace, and tried emailing Alfred with no response. I was hoping that maybe Jim would send me the recordings, but I can't get in touch with him. Does anybody have any suggestions?

A friend lent me that book and it comes with a cd, I’m guessing that changed at some point.

Are you talking about the Jim Riley, the drummer for Rascal Flatts? If so, he's very active on social media.

He's on Facebook all the time.
