Kewl! (I hadn't noticed there were no hats!) I used to play like that at open mics to save space."that's how I do most of my gigs. One cymbal."
C'mon, everyone had a railing, no?Health And Safety, not so much.
I don't go that far (didn't notice) I meant the one 20" ride and hatsI hadn't noticed there were no hats!)

I know I didn't get one.
I remember playing a gig to celebrate the soldiers coming back from Desert Storm and they perched us about 30 feet off the ground, but the rest of the band had to fit the platform too, so I sat in back. Didn't realize one of the legs of my throne was only half on the edge. One good push with my leg and over I would've gone. The bass player told me about half way through the second or third song of the set.
I didn't have a rug for that gig, but I had 25 feet of 5/32" nylon rope, so I tied the whole kit to my throne. Probably saved my life doing that.
You should take that act to Vegas!!
Did you do 'Free Falling', by any chance?
It did, just. Desert Storm (or Op GRANBY if you're a Brit like me) was the early part of 1991, the somg was released in 1989.You should take that act to Vegas
I don't think the song existed back then.
