I have ignored the outside stuff for the last 2 years due to undertaking a major internal house refurbishment. Garden now requires a lot of attention, so yes, there’s that to get on with.

Thats for sure, I love those renovation pics, that was a never endng cycle but the results are stunning. The words "short cut" dont even exist with you do they.

No, hence my stepping back from mod duties. I’m old school “either do it properly, or not at all”.

Very last job was completing my office landing space. This is where I’m messaging from right now.

@Andy, that picture, is that the former finishing shop?
 
Dang you're a Handy Andy-and your attention to detail shows. I know you get a lot of pleasure from finished results-though likely the journey may not be as pleasurable. All those odd angular corners I know can be trying. You've done some major renovations-like the heated floor one was memorable.
I'm curious since you've retired from Guru have you made any snare or drum for yourself to finish your own wish list of needs? I guess a lot of that gear is gone now-lot of man hours go into both-so much time in a day-I'm not encouraging you to do so when trying to shift gears. Jeez I don't know me sometimes.

Nothing until now, but I do have a build up of smaller projects to complete. Issue is, the finishing shop has been stripped down for some time - not operational, although I do still have all the equipment. I have family priorities to attend to first that entail the use of the outbuilding that contained the finishing shop. Once that all washes out, I’ll start those projects, as well as set up a drum recording facility on the upper floor.

Shortly after joining this forum, I saw a post (fairly sure from you) expressing these values. It's been such a great reminder for me, sometimes I've gone back and edited my posts - deleted a couple of them, too :rolleyes:.

Thank you for your good work, and the work all of the moderators do keep this forum as great place to visit. It's the first thing I click on in the morning (don't tell my boss!).
