Hot weather fans for gig use

Can you all please detail what you're using to keep yourself cool during hot weather gigs? I'm particularly interested in hearing about your fans and where they are located on/near your kit. Do you use batteries, or another energy source? I'm about to go fan shopping. Thanks!

I just use a simple fan like this...

It seems every other outdoor gig I have gets canceled for heat or rain, so I don't get to use it that often.

However, I would be open to checking out a USB type of fan for when I don't have an outlet available. How long do those typically last on a charge?

I always use a high velocity fan, such as this Lasko Portable Utility Fan:

I have a fan similar to @brady and another larger one I might bring for especially hot days (visible in this picture). I also have a small cooler I keep behind my kit with an ice pack and cold water (also visible in this picture). And I do my utmost to be in the shade whenever possible.

Get one of these:

You will never need to turn it up higher than the lowest setting. (it blows so hard it would be annoying).

This is my deployment band playing in the Persian Gulf at 135 degrees Farenheit ( you can see I am wearing a camelback and there was no shade) We had access to the Captain's fridge one deck down. (He told us that our duty that day was to play for the other ship).
Now I of course heard that song, but I never played it before so I just winged what I could remember of it.

This was back in 2005

I use one of these - wish I could have found a black one... works quite well just the same.

Honeywell fans rule! Powerful, light, cheap, and great tilt.

( I'm a drum-loving guitar player,
doing a lot of outdoor weekend gigs)
water, Gatorade and this fan- saves my life- really!

They are actually perfect , there are 3 speed settings .. They move a lot of air and are pretty quiet ……and they are unobtrusive
Vornado style are smaller and lighter but they do put quite a bit of air, mine in level 3 gets quite annoying so I only use it at level 1 which is still blowing a lot of air.
