I browse drummerworld more out of the two but I have gone to drumforum to get some stuff cleared about replacement pieces, but I do find it more useful here, so far.
I was looking to purchase something from Mark, but then I realized that the cymbals sold way earlier than the drum kits. By the time I got around to check, there were only four Pearl kits, the Z custom included.
Boy, that drum has life on its own. Even the free cheap kit I picked up from a bar...
So far, and I hope this stays the way it is, I've got insane memory to remember songs. Don't even gotta practise em, gig's enough for me to play the song well. Granted, if I were playing more technical stuff I would probably have trouble but with what I usually gig I don't have any memory...
Looks like Nine Inch Nails ended up winning big time to me. Ilan is extremely good and a force to be reckoned at 37 already, but Freese is just the cream of the top.
I feel like lots of people lost a bit of interest on DW when it got purchased by Roland, but overall I think its more or less the same as always. It clearly won't ever be as popular as it was in the 90s but it's still going strong I would say. I feel like certain brands fit certain niches, Tama...
I genuinely thought Ozzy would outlast everyone, he outlasted the queen of england already so that's a big feat, but man Keith Richards will be 120 years old and still drinking every day or something
Yeah, my bad if it came out as rude, I see your comment was about whether people actually go dancing or not. Personally I don't, but I can't imagine the audience at the venue I use to play having the same reaction to Walking in Memphis like they do with Mustang Sally. It's really not about...
I guess it's easy nowadays to buy on the used market. Flea markets aren't a thing either, but I just navigate Reverb instead. Clearly not the same type of deals, you won't find someone who doesn't know what they have, but it works.
Oh man, on Dancing in the Dark I just begin to accentuate with the guitarist with my crashes at "you can't start a fire", I do two crash hits in there just to keep
There's no way, I play Mustang Sally and I just heard Walking in Memphis, by... Marc Cohn I assume? one's a groovy song the other...
Honestly I just look at lesser brands or second line from big companies. last time I bought a drumstick brick it was 44 euros with shipping for 12 7A Goodwoods. Cymbals? Second hand or actually crazy deals. Drumheads I'm using Remo UT but I've been looking at Williams drumheads for more variety...
I don't really know their quality, but before Thomann increased their prices a year ago (again) it was the first time I ever saw Maple/Walnut shells under a thousand euros. Drums sure seem robust enough, and the Bell Brass is the cheapest bell brass in production currently I would say. Really...
Boy, I'm TIRED of playing Proud Mary. Even if its the CCR version with a little speed mixed on it, I've been playing that song since I was 16. I'm not even old, It's just a boring song!
That said, I exclusively play it when I have to, so all things considered, it ain't that bad. I've got my...
I bought a istanbul mehmet funky rock 14" crash for like 50 euros, can't say I used it much, I really thought that worst case scenario I can use it as a hi hat, but when I tried it, it did sound nice
