Update on fading Ludwig wrap

I stored my Ludwig 3 piece silver sparkle set that I purchased in 2017 from a Sam Ash store for two years in cases and had the same problem. The bass drum and two toms were yellow gold color. I was shocked. Called Ludwig and they said they are out of warranty so they refused to do anything. I told them it is not a warranty issue that the wrap is defective. Still nothing. This is not a typical fading with time issue. The drums were in a room on the North side of the house and were never in direct sunlight. This is a defective wrap issue. Anyone else have this issue?

things happen with drums in closed up cases; whether zippered up in bags; it's best to lift a lid or leave partial unzip ..... to let air circulate. I saw white mold on pearl wrap once but wiped off easily... always let em breathe
