I've blurred out the model names/sizes on these 4 cymbals. Can you tell what they are? I'll post the unedited photos later, but in the meantime, take a guess and see how well you can judge the approximate size of a cymbal just from a picture.

I said 5, because I *think* the order is:
Splash, Hi hat, ride, crash
…I will probably be proven wrong.

EDIT: I changed my answer. I don’t know WHY I didn’t see such a small hole on the first cymbal. I was focused more on what I thought were the “tiny hammering marks” that I’ve seen on some K splashes at the local Guitar Center, as well as the size and location of the “K” ink. That second cymbal very well could be a 12” or even 10” splash.

Judging by the size of the center hole in relationship to the overall diameter (assuming the center hole size is pretty much standard among cymbal manufacturers), I'm going with:

1) Ride, 2) Splash, 3) Crash, 4) Top Hat

1) is a splash. The carpet pile seems rather large in comparison to the cymbal. It's a very cleverly done photo.

2) hihat. Again, to me the carpet pile looks smaller in comparison to the cymbal....albeit a different carpet. I've got a hunch it's a hihat top...... maybe 14 inch??

3) I reckon it's a 16" crash.

4) a ride. It's perched on top on what looks like a couch. The diameter gives it some scale to me. Given that, I reckon maybe a 20 inch.

@TK-421, this has been a really fun little exercise. Great idea.....I hope you think of some other things like this.

If I don't score at least one out of four......I really gotta rethink my life.

So what is the answer? Peace and goodwill.
